• Brie Larson just showed Oprah how to do a French tuck, the style made popular by Queer Eye's Tan France.
  • After running into Larson backstage at the Women in the World Conference, Oprah complimented her "half in, half out tuck thing."
  • France has now volunteered to show Oprah his signature fashion move IRL.

It's hard to narrow down the list of important life lessons we've learned from the Fab Five on Netflix's Queer Eye, but the art of the French tuck is pretty high on the list. So we have to give props to Brie Larson for passing on the knowledge to Oprah.

For the uninitiated, a French tuck is when you tuck a portion of your shirt into your pants or skirt while leaving the rest untucked. The method became a full-blown trend last year thanks to Queer Eye's fashion expert Tan France, who swears by it. And when the O of O recently complimented Larson on her own stylish tuck, she gave credit where credit was due.

Oprah shared this video yesterday on Instagram, in which she and Gayle run into Larson backstage at the Women In The World Conference. The actress was rocking a chic skirt/sweater/boots combo, complete with a French tuck. Oprah complimented her "half in, half out tuck thing," and Larson replied, "Oh yeah, I learned that from Queer Eye. The French tuck! Come on, you've got to do the French tuck!" When a confused Oprah confirmed that she a) does watch Queer Eye, and b) does know Tan, Larson continued: "Tan taught me everything I know about a French tuck!"

When Larson shared the same video on her Insta, she added the adorable caption: "I said 'French tuck' 500 times and my rosacea flared because OPRAH !!!!" France also re-shared the video with an additional request: " O👏🏽M👏🏽F👏🏽G!!! Now THIS is the best way to start the fucking day!" he wrote. "Now let’s see if Oprah will let me French tuck her, IRL!! 🙏🏾"

In related news that brings this whole charming encounter full circle, the Queer Eye gang recently had their own starstruck moment when they met Gayle in person for the first time–inside the Hearst Tower, aka OprahMag headquarters. “I saw her and, honest to God, I’m getting chills on my triceps and on my quads just thinking about it,” Jonathan Van Ness told OprahMag of the moment. “I was like, oh my God, it’s bleeping Gayle King, she’s right there."
