College World Series 2019: Auburn vs. Mississippi State baseball video highlights, score

OMAHA, Nebraska — The Auburn baseball team faced Mississippi State in the first round of the 2019 College World Series on Sunday in Omaha, Nebraska. 

Mississippi State beat Auburn 5-4.

Auburn enters the College World Series at 38-26 overall after defeating North Carolina in a best-of-three series in the Chapel Hill Super Regional. Mississippi State is 51-13 overall after defeating Stanford in the super regionals.

Marshall Gilbert walk-off hit 

Mississippi State's Marshall Gilbert hit the ball back up the middle and brought home Dustin Skelton to win the game 5-4 in the ninth inning.

Wild throw allows Elijah MacNamee to score

Mississippi State's Elijah MacNamee went to third then scored on a wild throw by Auburn third baseman Edouard Julien. MacNamee's run tied the game 4-4 in the ninth inning.

Elijah MacNamee double brings in a run

Mississippi State's Elijah MacNamee hit a double down the left-field line to bring home Jake Mangum and cut Auburn's lead to 4-2 in the ninth inning. 

Will Holland scores on wild throw

Auburn's Will Holland went first to third base on a single by Steven Williams to right-center field, and an errant throw to third base on the play allowed Holland to come home and score.

Holland's run put Auburn up 4-1 in the eighth inning. 

Holland, Bliss, Woley double play

Auburn shortstop Will Holland started a double play that ended with putouts by Ryan Bliss at second base and Rankin Woley at first base. The double play recorded the first two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. 

Gunner Halter brings in Dustin Skelton

Mississippi State's Dustin Skelton scored from second base on Gunner Halter's hit through the right side. It cut Auburn's lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Edouard Julien drives in Steven Williams

Auburn's Edouard Julien put a base hit into short center field that scored Steven Williams from second base to put Auburn ahead 3-0 in the top of the fourth inning.

Edouard Julien 2-run home run

Auburn's Edouard Julien crushed a two-run home run over the right-field fence to put the Tigers ahead 2-0 in the top of the second inning.

The home run traveled 429 feet, tied for the longest home run in a College World Series game at TD Ameritrade Park

3 batters, 3 strikeouts for Ethan Small

Mississippi State left-handed pitcher Ethan Small struck out all three batters he faced in the top of the first inning.
