As it becomes clear that making Big Law firms more diverse is a high priority, and far from a one-person job, more firms are adding additional diversity professionals to their staff.
Polsinelli has appointed Philip Hampton, an intellectual property partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, to the position of chief diversity and inclusion officer, Hanson Bridgett has appointed its first-ever chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer (CDEIO) and Sidley Austin and Norton Rose Fulbright have both hired regional heads of diversity in what could be an evolution of the position so many firms added in the previous year.
